Every burger is cooked using the smash burger technique, creating a flavorful sear that locks in the juices while delivering the crispy edges and fresh taste customers have come to love. But for the team at Project Smashburger, it’s about more than just serving great food—it’s about creating a memorable experience for every customer.
A Dream Turned Reality
Project Smashburger is owned by Mark and Tracy, whose journey to opening a food truck was years in the making.
The idea first came while helping their son move to college, but the timing didn’t seem right. After much prayer and reflection, they set the dream aside. Not long afterward, they felt called to move from Asheville, North Carolina, to Conway, South Carolina, where they became part of Coastway Church.
About a year and a half after relocating, the dream of owning a food truck resurfaced. With the encouragement of Tracy and support from their church family, they felt it was finally the right time to pursue it. After spending more than 20 years in the collision repair industry, Mark stepped into a new chapter, turning a long-held dream into Project Smashburger.
