Understanding Infra-Low Neurofeedback
One of the specialized services offered by Rivertown Psychological Services is Infra-Low Frequency (ILF) Neurofeedback, a non-invasive form of neurofeedback that focuses on very low-frequency brain activity associated with self-regulation.
Neurofeedback uses visual feedback embedded within movies and video-based activities to engage the brain’s natural regulatory processes. The approach is designed to support improved functioning and has been used with individuals experiencing challenges related to focus, sleep, mood regulation, emotional regulation, and attention.
Because neurofeedback does not rely on verbal processing, it may be an option for individuals who prefer alternative approaches to traditional talk-based therapies.
