Town of Aynor Special Election Set for March 31, 2026

The Town of Aynor will hold a Special Election on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, to fill one (1) vacant seat on Town Council.

This election is nonpartisan, meaning candidates are not running under political party affiliations. All candidate applications have been officially filed and the ballot is now set.

Candidates for Town Council

Voters will choose between the following candidates:

- Andrew Brown
- Wyatt McCrackin

Both candidates have completed the filing process and will appear on the March 31 ballot.

On March 4 at 5:00 PM, the community is invited to celebrate a major milestone — 20 Years in Business for Palmetto Insurance & Financial Services, LLC, located at 501 8th Ave, Aynor, SC 29511.

Founded in 2005 by two locally home-grown entrepreneurs, Scott Johnson and Jimmy Dyson, the agency was built from the ground up with one simple but powerful goal: serve the insurance needs of clients throughout Horry and Marion Counties with unmatched customer service.

From day one, both partners believed that great customer service would be the key to long-term success — and twenty plus years later, that commitment has proven true. The agency’s longevity is a testament to the relationships they’ve built and the trust they’ve earned in the community.

Echo Six Outdoor Shooting Park | 10-Year Anniversary Tour

The Aynor Area Chamber of Commerce was proud to piggyback with the Conway Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the 10-Year Anniversary of Echo Six Weapons at their Outdoor Shooting Park.

During the event, Mary Slavik, Owner of Echo Six, was honored for her leadership and 10 years of dedication to the business and community.

Gerry Shea, Field Representative for Congressman Russell Fry, presented Mary with a Certificate of Special Recognition, and Ryan Graham with the Aynor Area Chamber of Commerce presented a Recognition Plaque commemorating 10 years of service.

Following the ribbon cutting, Echo Six guided attendees on a golf-cart tour of the facility, offering insight into the impressive 53-area shooting range and the scale of the operation.

- Requirements: At least 18, registered voter, town resident for 30+ days.
- Filing fee: $35 for Council.
