The Aynor Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome The Clipper Barn, Aynor’s only barbershop, to the community with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Monday, November 10 at 10:00 AM.
Owned and operated by Kristina Tartaglia and her husband Andrew, The Clipper Barn is a family-owned business built on faith, craftsmanship, and community. Kristina and Andrew met in a barbershop in 2016, where their shared passion for men’s grooming—and for each other—took root. Two years later, with encouragement from Kristina’s mother, Maria, they opened their first family-owned barbershop up north.
For four successful years, they built a loyal following and honed their skills before life brought unexpected change. During that time, Kristina’s mother became terminally ill, and after her passing, Kristina, Andrew, and her father, Richard, decided it was time for a fresh start. Together with their children, Kolton and Sage, they closed their shop and moved south—eventually finding their home in Aynor, South Carolina, later welcoming their youngest son, Wesly.
“When we stumbled upon Aynor, it immediately brought me back to my childhood,” said Kristina Tartaglia. “It reminded both Andrew and me of how we grew up on little farms up north in the late ’80s and ’90s—simple, slower living. We were looking for a small town with a humble community, and that’s exactly what we found. After losing my mom, that’s what our little family needed most. I couldn’t feel any more connected to her anywhere else.”
Now, nearly six years after making Aynor home, Kristina, Andrew, and Kristina’s father have officially opened The Clipper Barn, which held its grand opening on September 9, 2025. The shop offers a range of services including their signature Cowboy Cut—complete with a hot towel and shampoo—along with beard trims, color camo, and classic cuts for all ages. Both Kristina and Andrew are licensed barbers, and their growing team includes an additional barber ready to serve the Aynor community
“The Clipper Barn is more than just a place for men to get haircuts,” Kristina added. “It’s a place where family, friends, and the community can come together and feel like home.”
The public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting and celebrate this exciting new chapter with the Tartaglia family. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the owners, tour the shop, and enjoy light refreshments.
