The Council reviewed the Town’s financial standing as part of its regular monthly update.
Police Report
Twenty-Three warnings were issued during the reporting period.
Council Member Updates
Stormwater Project
- DRG, the engineering firm that developed the Town’s stormwater phasing plan, shared its last correspondence from February 2024
- The Town now has a clearer understanding of completed phases and upcoming work
Levister Center
- The Town is preparing to move forward with a design/build or preliminary design bid process
- An update was received the day of the meeting
- Councilwoman Lori A. Beatty is leading this effort

Food Truck Ordinance
Second Reading Approved for the ordinance establishing and regulating mobile food vendors in Aynor. READ MORE
Zoning Ordinance Update
Second Reading Approved to modernize the Light Industrial Zoning Ordinance, aligning it with current needs and future growth.
Annexation & Zoning Map Amendment
- Second Reading Approved for annexing and zoning PIN #23508030019 as B-2
- The property is located between SunHouse and the Post Office
Town Projects & Services
Pressure Washing
- Three quotes were received
- The contract was awarded to Ward’s Landscaping as the lowest bidder
- Work will cover 8th Avenue from Elm Street to Oak Street (both sides)
Street Sweeping
The Town is working with Horry County to explore pricing for increasing street sweeping to six times per year.

From infrastructure planning to business-friendly ordinances and community engagement opportunities, the April meeting highlighted continued progress across multiple areas.
