Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Corner Outpost
Aynor, South Carolina — October 31, 2025 — The Aynor Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the official Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Corner Outpost, located at 515 Eighth Avenue, on the corner of Eighth Avenue and Main Street in downtown Aynor. The ribbon cutting will take place on Friday, November 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., and the public is cordially invited to attend.
Corner Outpost is a locally owned and operated retail destination that combines small-town charm with country lifestyle shopping. The store offers an extensive selection of men’s and women’s clothing, jewelry, and popular brands such as Ridge & Holler, Burlebo, and Southern Hype Company. In addition to apparel, the shop features an impressive assortment of outdoor gear, including fishing equipment, live bait, and hunting supplies, making it a go-to stop for outdoor enthusiasts across the area.
Originally founded by Sandy and Brett Davis, Corner Outpost opened its doors two years ago with the vision of providing Aynor with a welcoming, high-quality retail experience for the whole family. Their dedication to community and local commerce helped create a store that quickly became a favorite among residents and visitors alike.
In March 2025, ownership transitioned to Alison and Jonathan Capps, who purchased the business with a shared commitment to preserving its local legacy while introducing new ideas and expanded product lines.
“We saw what Sandy and Brett had built and knew we wanted to carry that forward,” said owner Alison Capps. “Aynor has always needed a place like this—somewhere you can find unique clothing, outdoor gear, and gifts that fit our lifestyle. We took a leap of faith because we believe in this town and its people.”
Alison credits much of Corner Outpost’s continued success to her sister, Jaime, who joined the team shortly after the purchase. A familiar face in Aynor and a former boutique owner, Jaime brings valuable retail experience, style, and community connections to the business.
“I couldn’t do this without her,” Alison said. “Bringing Jaime on board allowed us to blend our strengths and continue her legacy in town. Together, we’ve created something special that reflects both our personalities and our hometown roots.”
The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Celebration will include door prizes, giveaways, exclusive sales, and refreshments. Shoppers are invited to explore the newly refreshed store, meet the owners, and enjoy a day of community celebration.
Corner Outpost is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Customers can also participate in live Facebook sales for exclusive deals on apparel and outdoor essentials.
